We thought it would be neat to include at least one interesting fact about each state in the United States of America. Many people would like to plan a cross country vacation where they visit each of the 50 states. I’m going to give you a facts about each of the 50 states here in America where I live.
The first state we are going to cover is Alabama. Alabama became the state on December 14, 1819. Alabama’s population is approximately around 4.6 million people. There are four major rivers in Alabama called Tombigbee River, Alabama River, Tennessee River, and the Chattahoochee River. Alabama is known for its cotton, corn, poultry, and livestock. It is the 23rd most populous state in the USA.
The next day we are going to discuss is Alaska. Alaska is the 49th state in the United States of America and became a state on January 3, 1959. Alaska is the biggest state as far square miles goes in the United States. Alaska has only around 650,000 people, ranking towards the bottom of the most populated states in America. Alaska has great wildlife refuge and lots of scenery. Many tourists love to visit Alaska for great fishing and beautiful scenery.
Arizona became a state on February 14, 1912 and is the 48th state in the United States of America. Arizona is the sixth biggest state in the United States when it comes to square mile. Arizona has around 5.2 million people, making it right around the 20th most populous state. Arizona is known for mining copper, gold, and silver. The Colorado River attracts thousands of people each and every year for white water rafting adventures. Humphreys Peak is also another tourist attraction where people go hiking. There are many historical legends about hidden treasures and Arizona. Many people go treasure hunting and Arizona each and every year.
Arkansas became a state on June 15, 1836. It is the 25th state in the United States of America and ranks the 29th largest state in the US. Arkansas is best known for the birth of William Jefferson Clinton, better known as Bill Clinton, who is the 42nd US president of the United States. The Mississippi River and the Arkansas River run through Arkansas as well.
California is one of most popular states in the United States of America. It was the 31st state in the US and it was made a state on September 9, 1850. California is the third largest state in the United States of America with a population of an estimated 34 million. Many actors and actresses come out of Hollywood, which is located in California. San Francisco is known for hilly lands and is a great tourist attraction. Los Angeles attracts many thousands of different ethnic backgrounds each and every year. It is also the birth of Richard Nixon, who was the 37th US president of the United States of America. Many expensive and luxurious homes are in the hills of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, rodeo drive, etc. California is definitely one of the top tourist attractions and United States of America.
Colorado became the state on August 1, 1876. It is the 38th state in the United States of America and the eighth biggest. Colorado’s population is estimated around 4.4 million people and is well-known for its goal, silver, and great skiing resorts. Many people go white water rafting down the Colorado River, the Rio Grande River, and the Arkansas River each year. Mt. Albert is home to some of the best skiing in the United States.
Connecticut is one of the oldest states, the fifth state in the United States of America. It was made a state on January 9, 1788. Connecticut is the 48th largest state in the US with a population of an estimated 3.5 million. Connecticut was one of the founding states of America when the Pilgrims first came to America. It is full of rich history and a great place to visit if you are a tourist.
Delaware was the first state in the United States of America, which was declared a state on December 7, 1787. It is the 49th biggest state in the US with an estimated population of 800,000. Delaware has the Delaware River and the Nanticoke River, which are major tourist attractions each year for many people. It is bordered by the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, which makes for nice scenery. On December 7, 1787 Delaware became one of the first United States to ratify into the U.S. Constitution.
Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America and is home to the White House. The Supreme Court in many government buildings are located in Washington DC. George Washington was the man who found Washington DC and made it the capital of the USA on June 11, 1800. John Adams was the first president to live in Washington DC, setting the trend for the future Presidents of the United States of America. Washington DC is the smallest state in the US and has an estimated 600,000 people. It is best known for its government buildings, the Washington Monument, capital, Lincoln Memorial, and the Pentagon. It is definitely a tourist attraction for thousands each year.
Florida was the 27th state in the US that was made to stay on March 3, 1845. It is the 22nd biggest state in the US with an estimated population of over 16 million people. This is the fourth largest state as far as population does. Tourism is huge in all parts of Florida, especially down in Miami, Naples, and Key West. The Florida Keys are known to attract many retirees that buy homes on the water inlet. Ponce de Leon was the first Spanish explorer that Saul Florida on April 2 1513.
Georgia was the fourth state in the US and became a state on January 2, 1788. Atlanta Georgia is one of many big and important cities in the United States. Georgia is also home to the Savanna River, Suwannee River, and the Chattahoochee River, which are great to go rafting. The world Olympic Games were held in Atlanta in 1992 and are best known for those things. Savanna Georgia is a very popular tourist spot for many. Savanna has a very rich and powerful history in the United States and is a very nice place to visit.
Hawaii, the aloha state, is the 50th and last state in the US declared a state on August 21, 1959. There are many islands in the Pacific Ocean that consist of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai, and many more. Honolulu is the capital and along with Maui, to be huge tourist attractions. Hawaii is the 43rd biggest state in the US and has an estimated population of 1.2 million. Why he is almost 100% strictly known for its tourism. The beautiful clear blue waters and sandy beaches attract millions of tourists each year to Y. and all of the islands around.
Idaho is the 43rd state in the US and became a state on July 3, 1890. It is the 14th biggest state in the US with an estimated population of 1.3 million. Idaho is best known for producing billions of potatoes each and every year that Americans consume from grocery stores, restaurants, and fast food chains each and every day here they sound and River Mountains tract thousands of tourists each and every year. The sound and River and the Clearwater River along with Idaho Falls are some of the great places to visit in the gem state.
